EVERYONE AGAINST CANCER!

BREAST CANCER PREVENTION

Here are the best forms of prevention:

  • A mammogram should be done every two years starting at age 30 or 35;
  • Self-exams should be performed monthly starting at age 20;
  • Ideally, breast palpation should be done between the fourth and sixth day after the end of menstruation, always in front of a mirror and while showering or lying down;
  • In front of the mirror, women should look for deformation or changes in the shape of the breasts, retractions, and sores around the nipple;
  • While showering or lying down, women should check for lumps in the breasts or armpits and discharge from the nipples;
  • Women who do not menstruate should set a fixed date to perform the check.

ATTENTION!

It is important to know that breast cancer is not restricted to women, and men should seek medical help at any sign of it. Here are some signs:

  • Swelling, usually painless;
  • Dimpled or wrinkled skin;
  • Nipple retraction;
  • Redness or flaking of the breast or nipple skin;
  • Swollen lymph nodes or lumps in the armpits.

PROSTATE CANCER PREVENTION

Here are the best forms of prevention:

  • Eat a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, legumes, grains, and whole cereals, with less fat;
  • Eat tomatoes;
  • Get at least 30 minutes of physical activity daily;
  • Maintain a weight appropriate for your height;
  • Reduce alcohol consumption;
  • Do not smoke;
  • Men aged 40 and over should have routine exams;
  • Those with a family history of the disease should tell their doctor, who will recommend the necessary exams.

Fighting cancer takes everyone's collaboration. Do your part!!!
