Establishing influence over human beings is not as simple as following a cake recipe. Leading involves dealing with each person's principles, the way you treat those around you, and above all self-awareness, since you reflect onto others what you carry inside yourself.
Topics like these engaged the vertical team leaders at Useall Software during the first half of July.
The company has begun holding Leadership Workshops focused on developing influential leaders, so they can discover skills within themselves and their teams; build on a foundation of self-awareness; and carry out their roles with empathy and a more human perspective on the people around them.
The event brought together the managers of the verticals for manufacturing software (ERP), the electric sector, services, quality management, and small businesses, along with internal leaders from Sales, Marketing, and Administration.
The project, which will hold workshops throughout the year, is led by Micheline Pasini, a psychologist and Useall Software partner who has been working with the company on people management for several years.
Rafael Dela Bruna, leader of the Business Administration Software Development vertical, has been with Useall for more than 10 years. He says his view of leadership has changed several times over his career, moving from what he thought was right to what is truly appropriate when leading people:
"On the 11th we began the Useall Leadership workshop, where we had the opportunity to talk about the role of the leader. We reflected on ourselves and recognized what we look for in our own leaders. Leading does not require having every solution, being right all the time, or dictating how everything should be done. Teams deliver more positive results than individual effort, so we need to serve our team so it can achieve results beyond what any single person could. I see this initiative as an opportunity to become better professionals and better people."
Patrícia Bento, who has also been part of the Useall team for more than 10 years, leads Software Development for Commercial and Services Management. She shaped her profile as a leader throughout her journey at the company, and she shares her experience and expectations for the event:
"With a clear, well-defined goal, I believe a successful team comes from its members' ability to share information efficiently. Building on personal reflection, this first workshop held by Useall makes us think about how we can be better instruments in that communication. I look forward to the next sessions so I can sharpen my knowledge even further and improve my capacity to serve."
The company expects to raise the bar even higher for leaders who influence the growth of other leaders.
Useall is confident that these moments of knowledge sharing and skills training will bring great benefits, especially to the company's culture and to each employee's daily challenges.
As one of the most prominent software companies in Santa Catarina, Useall wants to become a benchmark in fostering an environment conducive to developing management solutions for companies of value — and that is not only about technology, but above all about engaging people who are emotionally equipped to perform their roles.
