eSocial (Brazil's digital labor reporting system) is a legal requirement that will impact the labor processes of every company in the country. For that reason, Useall Software held a statewide workshop attended by 30 companies from different industries, represented by their human resources professionals. BEFORE eSocial
Currently — the period leading up to eSocial — companies provide information to the government in a more fragmented way, with separate data submission routines for the Federal Revenue Service, Caixa, Social Security, and the Ministry of Labor. With eSocial, all of this data is consolidated in a single environment and then forwarded to the appropriate agencies. In addition, the information submitted is even more detailed — that is, all labor-related information for EACH employee must be sent in this process.
AFTER eSocial
This change will demand more attention and transparency in each worker's data, because eSocial will receive companies' data, log it, and then validate it, so that any inconsistencies may result in notifications or inspections at companies.
As speaker Viliane Romagna, coordinator of the Accounting/Payroll area at Useall Software, commented, when eSocial was launched, out of 14 million companies, only one thousand had entered the testing environment to put the operations of this new rule into practice.
That is somewhat concerning, because the impact is not just legal — it will change the routine processes of HR departments in companies across every state in Brazil.
WHAT ABOUT USEALL'S ACCOUNTING SOLUTIONS?
This was one of the high points of the workshop. "Thinking ahead to all the difficulties our clients could face, we implemented all the necessary eSocial features in Useall's Payroll system in advance," the speaker commented. Useall's team is prepared to guide clients with preventive actions to head off future problems with eSocial.
